I was surfing around the ring and noticed that beside each site description there was a green thumbs up or a red thumbs down icon. What does this mean, who determines this. Just curious.

I've wondered about that too. As I disagree with some of the "thumbs". I believe it has to do with the time it takes pages to load & the value of the content. But then that would be subject to interpretation. I guess the owner or site moderator would choose the thumbs??? Steve

Those thumbs are most likely assigned by the Ring server or program or however that works. As Ring administrators our job is accept or deny a site to the ring. Everything else is entirely automated.
