Growers Everywhere I am pleased to announce the 2nd Annual PGVG giant pumpkin seed auction. The Dills were kind enough to grant us permission again to hold this exciting event. We will be combining both a two week slow bidding auction and conclude with a (hopefully) fast paced live auction. The auction will start on Feb 1st, and oh ya, there will be both single seed and multiple seed lots. This will be fun as the seeds are incredible and enough to go around. Here is the list........ Lot #1 The 1156 Larsen 2002 A cross of the 898 Knauss and the 1062 Rivard Weighed 25.6% heavy, and had 17" thick walls on the blossom end. Not too shabby from a 1st year grower.
Lot #2 A classic orange Lot of 3 seeds 1. 850.5 Hester 99 801 Stelts x 990 Bax 2. 760 Patrick 99 801 Stelts x 801 Stelts 3. 916 LaRue 97 567 Mombert x 697 Ciliberto If you like orange, this is the one for you. Perhaps not the most famous of seeds, but for beauty, can't go wrong.
Lot #3 A second classic orange package. 3 more great orange producers. 1. 812 LaRue 97 567 Mombert x 563 Geerts 2. 731 Stucker 00 801 Stelts x 801 Stelts 3. 869.5 Calai 00 846 Calai x 801 Stelts Another great lot for orange growers out there. And hey, those Stuckers go heavy.
