In early January 2003 New tables for ESTIMATING WEIGHT will be on this site and you can download them. They are dated January 2003. This update is primarily based on 800 fruit grown in 2001 and 2002. The previous table was based on measurements back to 1989. Fruit grown in recent years have,on average, gotten heavier for the same size in measured inches. Estimates for fruit over 1000 pounds should be improved as we now have measurements for 70 fruit over 1000 pounds. .......If anyone has a need for the Equations used by David Martin to prepare the New tables, e-mail me.
