What a bummer for us on this Christmas day. Coming from a large family, we had to cancel Christmas. With over 6 inches of snow already this morning, it's still snowing very hard out. You can hardly see the neighbors house across the road. Some of my children are home. But two of them can't make it. Christmas at my parents with my four brother and four sisters has been cancelled until Saturday. Worse of all, the 28 grandchildren my parents have, are pretty upset about all the snow and Christmas being cancelled. The snow plows have gone by the house four times this morning. This is what you get when you live in the great state of New York with all the lake affect snow. Merry Christmas to all.

here in walton n.y. we had just a dusting of snow 7am.with a light freezing rain falling by 8am it turned to snow by 2 pm over a foot of snow has fallen sorry you couldn't get the family home merry xmas

It' three thirty PM and we see three and a half inches. It is acting like it is over in North Central Pa. In their usual fit of inaccuracy the bozos were calling for nine to a foot. Hardly enough to get out the blower.

Weather update. We have snow blown our drive way twice today. I would guess that we got about ten inches of snow so far. It's a crazy day. No Christmas and it's strange not to see and traffic going by the house. Ever once in a while, a vehicle will go by. The snow plows are trying to keep the roads clean. But, they got alot of work ahead of them yet. Storm is going to last until tomorrow afternoon.

Here is Rochester I've shoveled 3 times today. I don't know the exact number, but I would guess over 12 inches and maybe a foot and a half. I might be over estimating, but right now I'm pretty tired. We did manage to get to mom's house for christmas, but we drove about 35 MPH the whole way.

PB, I hope the kids have a great time this weekend, I know it can be a real disapointment.

i just got done cleaning out the snow,started at 4:30 broke my snow blower twice,got the plow truck stuck three times plus i got a cold,its not all bad though my wife made me a hot buttered rum and gave me a giant wheelbarrow for christmas and to top it all off today in the mail was some nice pumpkin seeds.what will tomorrow bring..
