I have a soil sample that I took in late October. I haven't had time to send it in- is there any problem with having it sit around for this long? It has been in a plastic container in the garage.

Seems I do the same thing each year. Get the sample when the plants are done put it in a bucket and get too busy to send it off until the end of the year. No problems so far. Nothing much is going to change. Just put mine in a bag today, one step closer to A&L labs.

Any attemp to test for Nitrogen would be off. But N can't be accurately tested for even minutes after the soil is pulled, so don't worry about it. The rest of the elements are stable enough to not merit concern. The lab will need to dry the sample before analysis anyway.
