I know Thanksgiving Day passed away long ago. But I feel so grateful to all the Giant Pumpkin comunity growers, for the impressive amount of generosity, friendship and warm I found in, and the vast science and knowledge I've learnt from as well, that I have to say it. The people I've visited in North America, the ones I've met in this wonderful site, and the ones I don't know personally but I had the nerve to write. All of you are a nice team indeed, each new day it becomes clearer to me. One of the things I realized better shows it is the way that succesful growers, who have to receive hundreds and hundreds of seed requests, take for themselves the boring and long job to send their best "doughters" even to a man wich leaves so far away and they didn't know the day before. I am getting so nice seeds that make me confused to choose among them for next year, but the thing makes me happier is the kindness of those people whom I consider from that moment FRIENDS. The best thing I believe I could do in order to say thank you is assure all of you that I am going to do my best with the seeds I plant, and if not all the luck lie in your side of the Atlantic Ocean, you'll see how fast some spanish people learn and pay atention to details when they are interested in something. Remember how fast our ancestors conquered all South America almost five centuries ago; really you were lucky they didn't like North America cold winters! LOL.......Don

Well said Don.
It seems that as the winter doldrums set in, we find ways to take out frustrations on each other. But words such as yours serve to remind us what a strong & wonderful community exists here.
I saw that tanker is still leaking on the news yesterday. Pity.

Oh heck! All that is wrong is that the full moon is upon us. Christmas is the pits loaded against happy minds. There are short days and short patience. All someone has to do is drop a trigger word to start a dinger of an arguement.
More fires, more nursing home deaths, more robberies, more dern fools going deeper into debt, lots of misery and lots of traps.
Such is the so called happy season every year. So why not here? We are as you know to large to defeat a thing called average.
Life would be so boring if we were all the same. duh

I don't know dog. So far I've only charged $414 this year. I know that's the amount because they already hit me with the bill. LOL I still like cash. No interest on invoices paid in full. But the holiday does bring my family great opportunity for peaceful gathering. I take a few weeks off from the grind & reap the rewards for the work I put into the year. It saddens me to see folks rushing around like their next stop will make or break it all for them. I really ENJOY moving a little slower at this time. There's nothing more satisfying than holding the head up high while walking through the mall SLOWLY looking for the LAST gift with no where else to go. The full moon is Thursday the 19th. Let's see what it brings.
Peaceful holiday wishes to you & yours,
Steve
