I think so, I have friends in an important cherry area, a hundred miles north from my farm, who use that stuff for their garden every year and are nice, strong and very happy and wealthy people -:) ............ and their garden too.

I think I have read somewhere that all fruit leaves are great for your garden

There was some discussion last year about this time that Apple or Walnut leaves were bad. They had some kind of toxic effect on the soil.

Got to be careful using walnut leafs and oak leafs. Fruit tree leaves are fine. Leafs from the Walnut and Oak are somewhat toxic. If notice hardly anything will grow under them

Oak leaves contain a high amount of tannic acid and lower the PH of the soil. Azaleas love them. Walnuts are definitely a no no. They contain a substance called juglone that inhibits growth of plants, especially vegetables.

I don't have much choice...the trucks I'm getting have oak leaves in them should I just lime the piles?

I just looked out back where the garden is situated and I noticed that the leaves from a few oak trees are blowing in the direction of the garden. Should I be overly concerned about this situation where a few hundred leaves will rest in peace there.
