After watching George's new video last night, I found it almost amusing the variation in presentations of the "expert growers". According to one well known grower, one gets the destinct impression that all one has to do to be successful is to throw on a bunch of leaves and manure in the fall. I sure wish it was that easy!!

was the video worth the $10.00? I was thinking about getting a copy, but if all you have to do to get a whopper is to throw down a big ole pile of crap, I don't need the video, I can do that on this web site!

I got the video too, it's a little over 2-hours long and I've only been through the 1st half so far. Since I don't live on the Canadian border, I enjoyed it just to be able to put a face to some of the big names out there. So far, worth my $10. I also bought he 2nd tape, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Are we all tilling in a full 6-inches of manure and 60 bags of maple leaves? Or is it more like 1" of manure and 10 bags of leaves? c'mon, be honest. And since I don't own a tractor, spreading around that much manure is NOT easy. :)

I liked the tape very much! Lots of good information. Nic Welty had a great talk on genetics. Nice piece on the Half Moon Bay weigh-off. Interesting tour of California pumpkin patches as well....and you might even like country music when you are done! Yes, it is worth $10!!!!!!!

It depends on your patch! Say, my patch is 20 sq. ft. I put down 60 bags of leaves and 20 yards of rabbit crap, now I have a 100 sq. ft. patch!! Nice un' at that! LOL
