I was just contacted by the City of New Carlisle,Ohio and I can have all of the free leaves I want. They offer free pick up and delivery to the people who live in the city limits. I do not live in the city so I will be busy for the next few days/weeks making trips to and from the leaf site. It is only about five miles away so it will not be too difficult. Too bad my winter rye is in and most is up.....Tom

Out town collects the leaves and mulches them. In the spring, they put out mountains of black leaf mulch for residents to pick up. Sometimes it's hard to find a spot to back up the pick up.

I went to check out where they keep the leaves. About the size of a football field 6-8 feet deep. I think that will keep me busy for a while. Although it is first come first served, there are several Wholesale and Retail Nurseries that normaly take all, from what I have been told.

Banty,
One more thing! Stelts also gets leaves from his municipality, then he adds 17 or 18 tons of fresh chicken manure to break them down!
