Nebraska 3rd year grower looking for seeds that can take the heat. Year 1 108lbs. Year 2 361 lbs. I've been concentrating mainly on building up the soil in the patch. Adding lots of humus, green manure croping and Ph correction. My goal is to again at least double last years weight again this year. Normally our temps and humidity are very high, this year was the exception in regards to humidity (drought) this allowed the misting system to work well and there was little or no disease.I would appreciate your views on which seeds will help me reach my goal. If you have seed that you believe will do well in these conditions please e-mail me and I'll send sasbp. dave

Hey Dave we had a hot summer here in Iowa this year! It seems that many plants suffered the extreme heat with sun burn and wilt. Two of my plants handled it great, the 922.5 Emmons (98%) un affected and the 845 Nesbitt showed NO problems or damage. I would guess your weather is much like mine???? Anyhow, I would recommend those two seeds. It looks like the 845 is becoming somewhat of a HOT seed. I crossed the 922.5 and the 845 and plan to grow it next season. Good luck on your hunt and let me know if youd like some seeds. Mike
