Hello, i always bury my vines. Everything. I find it better this way to help keep the vine bores from getting into the vines. I bury mine about 6 inches. sometimes it might be more

Covering the vine was not one of my many interesting problems this summer. I just pull a hoe ahead of the vine making the bottom of the row about three four inches deep.
I guided the vine using bamboo sticks into the hoed row and covered them with the loose soil left from opening the row. The last foot or so is always on top growing on. Did the same thing with the secondaries. We placed walking boards between the rows as the patch developed.
