Hey everyone, my daughter is writing a "feature article" on giant pumpkin growers as a subculture for a class she's taking this summer. She'd like to know what our favorite and least favorite things about pumpkin growing are. Please help her out and have some fun with this!

most favorite..... how this hobby got rid of my wife after 6 years of growing, and after being married a total of 15 years ,,, If I knew it was going to be that easy I would have started growing pumpkins 15 years earlier.

Least favorite.....when I went out to check my prize 1068 Wallace seedling about 4 years ago and seen the little main vine and half the stem broke off laying on the ground. Found out later , and not until I brought in the FBI, and 3 days of questioning and torture, that my wife finally admitted she "accidentally" knocked a portion of the hoop house over on to the plant when she was opening it up in the morning. Know that I look back on this, I have lost other plants in mysterious ways...

Favorite 1. The weigh offs are a lot of fun 2. Watching how fast these amazing plants and fruit grow
Dislike I work second shift so I have to foliar feed when I get home. At the end of the season it takes a very long time. I'm sure my neighbors think that I need my head examined!
