Results and comments on how the plantdid and final weight, from those of you that grew the 455.4 andrews this year. I had one the weighed 816uow 786.7est 579.5 that did make it to nekoosa weighoff another one which had an est weight of 327. All in very good seed I think the weather and the grower screwed up the bigger fuits the 579.5 was grown on the first secandary vine the vine split in half about 3 weeks after th fruit was pollinated.that plant also grew the 786.7est and the 327. The 579.5 went heavey by 60 pluss lbs. So what did you all get :)

Great job Mark...thanks for giving it a shot. Thanks to anyone and everyone who tried it. My 455 was about 450sq ft with one fruit that wieghed over 300 at day 30, over 500 at day 40, but took another 50plus days to gain another 117lbs after the plant got sick..fungus humoungus here this year took both my plants at an early age...or at least stopped the fruits from continuing at a decent pace. The fruit was tall, round and bright orange (see pix titled Amagansett GPC on this site) when I was hoping for tall, long and green...go figure. In the end, even with the plant's early demise, I reached a new PB with a 617lb fruit...light by 1-2%. .........G

My 455.4 grew a 405 uow pumpkin ...est at 400 so it was slightly heavy...it was the only pumpkin I had set and it wasn't in a good position on the vine...my dog took the end of the main off so I had to go with it..Going to grow it again next year and hope for better luck..I crossed it with 924 rose...

I got a 123.2 from it. It was also orange. Rex (i named it after my lizard) was pretty heavy, it was 159" ott, it had an 81" circumference though, it was a pretty low, long fruit. I crossed it with the 611 Hester (grew a 120 uow) and the 1064 Needham. Pollination date was 8/25 and it was 34.5" cir. at day 10. I will try to keep it around til Halloween. If you want any seeds (if there are any) e-mail me. tom
