As far as records can be traced, it appears that kilr(me), has bested the current Pa. state record for a squash by 110#! This butt ugly squash, grown from the 609.5# Stelts, weighed in at 679.5# Saturday in Canfield.

Thanks, people!

I was just gonna leave that one in the patch, having already taken 2 pumpkins to the weigh-off Friday night! I loaded it all by myself, in the dark, at 5 A.M., Saturday, day of the weigh-off. Not only did it earn a state record, but because of it, I received the "Grand Exhibitors Award"! (Never know what you've got till it's gone!) Left it behind for sheep feed, when I discovered it may be a new State record, I went back and got it! Picture submitted today, free seeds will be available at BigP!

It was grown on the 609.5# Stelts and pollinated with the Kilbert 673#.(Don't know what this cross will produce!) Weighed in 16.5% heavy over the chart! For some reason, my pix aren't being "accepted" here!

Well kilr. I got myself some "sheep's feed" and am gonna give it a shot :)

Last year was my first year, so hopefully this year will have rain, yet not be swamped with rain, and we'll grow some big ones. :)

Glad to see that all your extra work paid off!
I think the seeds will do good, you know they feel loved after all that!
