Please be careful,
Got an e-mail from today from sender (RORQUALTOM) <[email protected]> with the subject listed as "BigPumpkins.com.All rights reserved." This e-mail contained a Virus - W32.Klez.H@mm . Another e-mail from the same sender gave instructions on how to remove a computer virus. This is also a bogus e-mail with a link to a compromised web site.
PLEASE be careful as this virus is an e-mail worm. Once a PC is infected the virus sends itself out to everyone in your address book. The subject line "BigPumpkins.com.All rights reserved." Leads me to suspect either bigpumkins server or one of its subscribers is infected. If I got the e-mail other members will as well.
Just delete these e-mails. Do not click on any links or attachments. Do not visit the virus removal website listed in the e-mail. If you want more info on this and other viruses you can visit NAI.com

This is because many people have either Ken, Webmaster, or My email address in their address book. The Klez virus mails itself to people in your address book and uses someone else in your address book for the reply address.
To fool people further, it grabs content from the infecyed hard drive to use in the subject. Making it look like a personal email from someone you know.
The problem is not with the BigPumpkins.com server, Ken, or I... but with one of the 6,000 registered users of the site.
Please make sure your virus definitions are safe. Do a search on this site for the word 'KLEZ' and see what comes up. This has been around for a while.
Thanks for the warning.
Insidious little bug... It's like the SVB of email.

The W32.Klez.H@mm virus seems to be the popular virus these days. Norton antivirus finds at least one email a week with this virus. I never try to repair them. I just get rid of it.

Got a lot 2 months ago, and just got one person tonight wondering who I was and why I sent them a email. Thought it was the virus again and told them not to open it. For those of you who are quick to point fingers. Don't start please. It could be someone who doesn't even come to this site, but has the email addy of someone who does. Then the virus get's to us. Ken

i recieve klez virus about every four days fife times and bugbear and what the hell else... But i dont care - i use a very actual antivirus and a mail programm the viruses cannot hurt, even if a virus slip throu. - Trow you M$ Outlook away and use something that cann't be hurt - I use Lotus Notes, but there are others, you can use, and they give the full features, outlook geive also.
the fact is, the most viruses spread only throug m$ outlook!

More e-mails,
10 more hits today. All with BP subject or sender names. Just remember no one from BP will be sending you a file with a .bat .exe .src .com or .pif extention. Update your virus software and be careful

Thats what I like about P C Cillin. When the e-mail is coming in and there is a virus, it catches it right then and deletes it. Updates by itself whenever there is an update, sometimes up to 4 times a day it updates. Thomas

Wonder what jenaipas is or means? I got kind of curious and typed it in yahoo search. The first link that came up was related to pumpkins and it said something about Rock Rivard.

I recieved another virus email today..
It's quite obivious who ever's computer is infected has at one time took people emails off this site and added them to thier address book for some future used.
That's perfectly a all right thing to do and I figured I would mentioned it so maybe it might give the infected person a clue that thier computer is infected.

I have gotten 4 of these just today, and 2 last night. All have said they were from "[email protected]" subject "meetings"....I used my Norton to get rid of it without even opening it and finally today I did a block sender.....which means if the webmaster at this site tries to email me it may not get through :( I don't know.
But I will always check in here to see what is going on.
As much of a pain in the patootie as it is, it's nice to see I am not the only one being inundated with this junk.
