Just wanted to wish good luck to all of those who are loading their pumpkins over the next couple of days.
May your fruit be sound. May your travels be safe. May your fruit weight HEAVY.
Good Luck to ALL wherever your competition may be.
Cheers - Ceis

Thanks Ceis! My neighbour Joerg and me, we weighed and loaded our pumpkins yesterday (with the help of father, brother and son) while it was raining, a hard and dirty job... Owen, this is what I´ll take to Ludwigsburg on Sunday: my own Eisenhaur pumpkin made it to 433 lbs, Joerg´s is 218 lbs, both sound fruits from top to bottom - all according to the bathroom scales we used. Man, we were completely wet but that was a great day! Good luck to everyone!

Thanks Ceis, today was loading day. I was a bit nervous all day. Things went good. It was raining a little, but not too bad. Hope the trip to Nekoosa goes well in the morning.

While loading my pumpkin with the Pennsylvania Pumpkin Loader, it fell out the bottom from 4 feet in the air!! There was a big thud....NO DAMAGE!!! It think it can be considered "solid"!!

Stan - I asked about you today. Joel showed me you fruit & told me that story. Amazing that the blossom was the only thing w/ slight damage.
