how does captan interfere with mitosis.

It doesn't. Captan deactivates fungul enzymes, alters cell membrane function & chelate metals which are toxic to fungi.
Mitosis Interupters are; Terraneb, PCNB, Koban, Terrazole, etc, which are aromatic hydrocarbons. Captan I think is a carbamate.
