Yes, that is what our rain guage measured today (9/27). Almost twice the 2.4 inches of rain that we have had since June 2nd. Hardley any puddles formed since the ground sucked the rain in like a sponge....Tom

That's a bunch of rain, what have your temps been like at night this past week down there? We've been having some 40 degree nights lately.

Four straight nights of the low 40's here. 4.5" of rain in one day in the Pacific Northwest would float all known pumpkins!

Rain, Rain go away. we have had way to much rain here in Central New York. In the last two weeks we have had 17 1/4 inches of rain. My rain gauge this morning had 4 1/2inches. Yes we really need it here in the northeast. The news says we have had more rain in the last two weeks, than all the days added up since june 1st.

Jeff, down here in Gulfport, Mississippi, I got 12 1/2 inches of rain in two days. I'm hoping Hurricane Lily doesn't start to turn mor northerly or northeast or i'm in trouble.
