We will be posting the results soon. I didn't get back from Durham until after 11:00pm last night. The quick un-official top 3 were:
1. David Garrell 825 lbs. 2. John Deary 701.5 lbs. 3. Bob McNamee 643 lbs.
Again the scale was a total joke. Congrats to all growers but you will die laughing when you see it on video. John's pumpkin had all of the following weights: 763.5, 702, 704, 735, 630 and 701.5.

well if you average them you get 706 lbs.
its amazing that a scale could vary so much and still be demded reliable.

well, I got word that Bob's fruit was weighed previous, and it was 10 lbs less than his was prior. Fruit dont loose 10 lbs overnight. Given that and the 630 it appears that the scale may have been weighing light. Even though it wasnt accurate as to actual weight.
john's fruit measures 760 or so? is that correct? so that is more info. 723 x 801.5 ought to be close to chart.
Another thing I always say....LOL......why screw the grower if you arent sure....LOL

It taped 755.
Bob did weigh his fruit the night before on his scales. But he acknowledged that his scale was off by about 10 lbs before his was weighed on the "official" scale.
Let's see how it goes at Topsfield. I am prepared to loose up to 10 lbs due to time and moisture loss. Lets put it this way, it shouldn't gain anything! We'll see...
