I was just curious if any BigPumpkin.com people will be heading to Altoona and the PGPGA weigh offs this year.
Best wishes everyone.

Do you think that it will be safe to be there? Based on what I see on the Archives and BP.com, I beginning to have my doubts!

I'll be there if my last pumpkin will hold on for another week. Hey Ned, any hint as to what you'll be dragging up there?

There won't be a personal best for me but my 1061 should be in the 500 pound plus range. The hot weather got the best of my patch this year. As always in this crazy hobby it is easy to get greedy and want a "bigger" pumpkin. It will be fun to chat with the Ciliberto's and Checkons and the other pumpkin people in Altoona and to my 7 year old twins a 500 pounder is a "monster".

I was referring to the angry disposition of the growers that I see posting on the Tom Beachy situation. Perhaps, they should have all the growers pass through a metal detector? We would want any growers going "postal"!

I'll be there, looks like i'll be taking my big one, and a squash. squash isn't that impressive except that it's green, which is always a plus. hopefully i can defend my position at the #3 spot in green this year.
