You done kicked some major Maine butt my friend. Way to let them know at least one other Maine boy besides Al Berard can grow a good one. You are the man...I just regret that I never got down to see this giant. Congratulations my friend.

Yo Lobsta, I let em dry for a while and put some fungicide powder over them...that kills anything off.If your gonna use bleach..do it before they dry.

jeff352 yes it did jeff. i wanted to post some pictures of it,but it caught the mosiac virus at about 30#. it was one butt-ugly pumpkin with warts and bumps and all kinds of deformities from that virus.my kids were scared of it, my wife would`nt go to my patch after dark. it was a really good looking pumpkin until 30# so i know the seeds are great! it was the armstrong 553 that died.
