when do small pumpkins start to gain real fast in weight like 10 to 15 pounds a day

The "big ones" will increase 30" in circumference in one week! Up to around 100", then they slow down in rate of growth. At 125", it gets "scary" if they grow more than 6" in a week! My last split came at 6 1/2" that week!

Ben - It's probably the timing of the weather that is affecting your growth. I was pretty much at a stand still last week. I had 10 pound gains a day for most of August. (when I started measuring) The fruit was 20 days old & 53 cir when it started to take off.
Pray for that indian summer to kick in. - You'll get to 100 wait -n- see.
