They are worthy of saving and I know many would love to have them. They are great trade material for you when you swap seeds with other growers. Its great to send yours when requesting thiers....you never know what will be good.........G

Hey buddie, just remember you have made one hell of a showing for your rookie year and no matter what happens, you can be very proud of the fact that you did as well as many of the experienced growers have done. I have nothing but admiration for Hally and you and the effort you two put forth, not to mention you kicked my arse..hehe

Hold your head high pal..and save me a couple seeds from Mobey.

Lobsta, in my opinion having 740 lbs is not at all "by the way". If you`ll end up with 800+, anything to complain about? I asked before if growers consider not to collect seeds from fruits with defects, but at that size all of them seem to do.

i'm not complaining at all..i just don't want the fun to end..the reasons i've got this far with it is all the information and genorouus people that give advice on this website..you could'nt ask for a nicer bunch of people,i did'nt buy the pumpkin bible till about 200 lbs when i realized what was growing out in the patch..i think my major mistake was over fertilizing, more than once..i was'nt listining to the leaves..

Say John....700+ pounds your first year is quite an accomplishment! You have nothing to hang your head about!
That is 99% better than most first year growers!

In my case, it's better then us third year growers. Way to go.

John - Congrats on the season.
I'll agree with Stan since you doubled up on what I have on the vine.
That is a great mark for a rookie season.
Your next challenge will be next season.

Congrats John! My 1048 last season went almost 12 percent heavy. It measured around 700 but weighed in at the PGPGA weighoff at 797. Yours may be heavy too!
