if you could increase the sugar content in a pumpkin in what way would that help the pumpkin grow.

The pumpkin decides its own sugar content, there isnt much we as growers can do to help this. Pumpkins use the processs of photosynthesis (and others) to make their carbohydrate (sugar) structures. The source of these sugars is not sugar, obviously, but comes from CO2 in the air. The other important factor is water. Keeping it well watered and fertlized is about all you can do to increase "sugar content"

Actually a can of coke and beer would increase the sugar uptake
