How are we all doing with our late season competition pumpkins????! Bad news here. The pumpkin I was growing on my Emmons plant is gone. The vine it was on rotted off the main. Was only being suported by a couple leaves and a couple tap roots, so i pulled it. But, in the spirit of our late season race, id like to replace my Emmons pumpkin with one on my 845 Nesbitt plant. It was pollinated on the 7th of August. The down sides to this plant: Growing 100% in the yard (grass), next to a 6 ft fence receiving minimal light, plant size is less than 300 sq ft and has some sort of eggs (brownish) and whit flies or something all over it? So can I run this one in our little competition? What are your guys measurements and what was the estimated pollination date? Im at Aug 7th pollination and @ 50 inc. Good luck, Mike

Mike,
8/13 is when I found mine flower was still open, so Id say that is the date. That plant is also in bad shape less then 150 sq left. Havent checked in a couple days will let ya no.If I lose this one I'm out as the rest have rotted or blown up. Hold on to that one Mike, think Scott was around 41" cir.

Wow thats 5 1/4 a day on circ. I found in my patch that everything growing like that blew up. I wish you the best of luck Mike. Scott may be quit until he gets his pkn pump. Then he will be able to increase his size at a very fast rate. The last thing you want is to get cought with a small pkn. Looks like I may need to order one too, the girlfriend says if it'll help in the patch I can get 2.
