This may sound real dumb but what the heck. I was in the patch the other day looking at some real sick pkn plants. I had just brushed my teeth and had a mouth full of mouth wash. Well it says it kills bateria so what the heck. Spit it out on a couple leaves. The color of the leaf looks a ton better then the rest of the leaf with out it, and that is the only spot that has not gotten that rusty look. So to humor you all I will spray one plant with it at 1 oz per gal to see what happens. I asume that alcohol is not good for them so I will try one without. Or if someone can tell me what alcohol does to a plant. Besides make the leaves keep falling over...lol. The plants are dieing the ground may be infected what the heck do I have to lose.

lol, thats pretty funny and maybe a little bit clever. Keep us posted. I'm thinking mouthwash would be a lot cheaper than fungicide :-)

Jerry Baker (Americas Master Gardner) makes a living off of using household iteams in the garden.Antiseptic mouthwash is one of them. He is on pbs stations in the fall and spring during the money drives.I have one of his books and it offers some usefull tips with common items for the garden.Cant remember off hand what the mouthwash is used for.

Who would think that someone else was spitting mouthwash in there garden. I have seen that guy, I thought he was a little nuts with some of the stuff he did. Then I found these AG seeds and have joined him in his crazy little world.
