I thought that Lumina pumpkins were white? Was I wrong? I have several pumpkins growing in my patch that are a lovely creamy-goldish-yellowish colour. It's hard to describe, but it sure is beautiful. I thought that they were luminas because the baby pumpkins were not green, and the only pumkpkins I planted were regular ones, big max and lumina. So, I thought that they would be white, but as these are growing (the biggest is about the size of a basketball now) they are not getting white. They are just getting to be a mellower colour. I am pretty sure that the picture on the packet showed white pumpkins. Any insight?

I've heard of Luminas having a blue tinge but I never heard of them getting Yellowish.

They might not be Luminas. How long have they been growing and how big are they. Luminas are usually 10-20 pounds when fully mature.

Well, they have been growing about a month I guess. The largest is about as big as a basketball in circumference, but it is flatter. You know, like those Cinderella pumpkins. It really is so pretty.

next question is where did you get the seeds?

Um, near as I can recall, I got them at Orchard Supply Hardware. Wherever I got them, they were just run-of-the-mill commercial seeds. Patience
