every year i keep my own seed from some of my biggest pumpkins, but i can never get over the 300 lb,i did get a few seeds from howard dill they are doing very well like skyler 1,which i think is around 300lb,i am sure i can raise some big pumpkins like 500 or 600 lb but i just havent had the right seed till this year, maybe howards seed will put me over the 300lb this year,my son cyrus is the one that won 1 st place for the biggest pumpkin, when the seed bank opens back up this year, how many seed can you get from this site, how does it work.

I think you get to pick two or three different ones and only have to pay shipping. Something around a couple bucks. It's a wonderful service these BP guys provide. My guess is they will open it back up for seed requests in early spring closer to planting time.

get to select four seeds once a month while supply lasts. You get two seed for a total of eight a month about two bucks for shipping and handling. new postage rates this year and we need a new web cam!! at three bucks still well worth it!

We are going to change the seed distribution a little this year. I am leaning towards allowing 6 packs (2 seeds in each) per request. You would get one request per calendar month, same as last year. I still have to figure out the postage so the price is not final yet. I expect to re-activate the seed request page as early as October. Most seeds from this season will not be available until November or December. We are also going to change how one goes about getting seeds in the distribution. More on this later.
