Subject: pumpkin on stem

The pumpkin is approaching the vine. Soon it will be on top.I cut the tap roots under the stem. What to do now?? Pumpkin is over 150+#

Dexter read down below STEM STRESS...Need to get more slack on the vine and do it carefully!...put the pumpkin on an outside edge of a S turn on the vine! Very carefullY! do a little more each day! need more vine nodes cut out then the one the pumpkin is on...the loss of these leaves means you have to put up some shade to protect the pumpkin! That answer is way to simplistic but you should get some books to see pictures and understand these are GIANT pumpkins and need a little extra care...Try to raise the vine up to the height of the pumpkin along with the outside edge of the S turn!
