second vine (approximately 12' long) had a fruit which aborted. The end of the vine had broken off. There are no fruits, no side shoots, nothing going on or likely to.
Do I want to keep this vine, or remove it? The other vine on the plant is doing well.

2nd main ? secondary ? how close is the nearest pumpkin...? my first impression would be to just leave it alone.

Second main. Nearest fruit 20 feet down first main vine.

i would just bury it, it may help provide nutrients. it probably wouldnt hurt if you did either. i think i would just keep it though

That's what I'll do. It can't be draining any energy from the rest of the plant, as it's not doing anything growthwise; so it might even be helping.

dderat, Try to utilize those pesky secondary/tertiary vines to fill in the blank places and for replacement leaves in the ol patch. I have often coaxed new growth to fill up bald spots... Best of luck, Gerald Gadberry
PS bury all them vines, pull weeds like a fiend, and you will pack on the pounds...!
