Today I cut off a 57 lbs fruit. Not for desease or anything, just to focus plant power on the biggest. It´s a nice fruit and I wondered if there are other ideas what to do with it than delivering to the compost bin.

hey Floh do you have anything there like an animal santuary? We have something where I live that is called WildLife Images. Its a rehabilitation facility for wild animals, I give pumpkins, apples etc and they really like it.

We have the Cologne zoo. Which animals will like it? Should take a pic then...store it in the basement right now. Can it still mature or will it go before?

I think any of the "grass" eaters like them I know elephants eat them. a guy a couple of years ago took his 900 lber to the zoo. they gave it to the elepahnts... they played with it for a while then one stepped on it... 20 min later it was gone.

Every cull I have I hand deliver it far away from the patch. I do not want to offer any free buffets to the creatures out there. I read "compost". While I agree it makes great compost I also know animals lick their chops to check those things nightly and they harbor many cucumber beetles. I would give it to any deserving pig before I would let a woodchuck or cucumber beetle even have a look.
