We have all seen them, those neatly layed symetrical egg masses under the mamoth sized leaves that protect our show pumpkins. Night used to be down time until I began carefully cutting out the eggs on the leaves and placing them in strofoam cups with plastic wrap. In a couple of days they all hatch and you can marvel at night at the hundreds of tiny sucking insects that WON'T be muching on your plants. How satisfying to watch them scramble and look for tender new growth to munch only to find that the leaf they rode in on is all there is.

I gotta try that, I've been spending my nights walking in circles in cornfields wearing my size 15 snowboots. It drives the farmers nuts;)

I don't know you guys... I am beginning to wonder if fertilizer and/or pesticide can cause dementia, or if it is just a common trait among pumpkin fans. Y'all are a little weird! ;-) Patience

Huff,
I thought those "crop circles" were just an advertisement for Target stores!
