Too bad I dont have a digital cam yet to show this problem. My 2 young plants (1 month old), 626 Sawtelle & 608 Gadbery, startedl with 7 normal and huge leaves but suddenly the next 7 leaves and from then on are very tiny ( about 3:), wrinkled and yellowish, further apart on huge diameter vines. The other plant ( 633 Blair) in the patch is doing great, and not showing such abnormalities. I am puzzled and disappointed. Can anyone figure out what I am talking about and can give me any advise?

I'm guessing its a little warm in Santa Clara, right now. To warm for the pumpkin to grow. Try shading it with some shade cloth, misting, and a good dose of nitrogen.

Thank you for the advice. Yesterday, I started misting all my plants. I also increase nitrogen and covered and the sick ones. It was very warm yesterday. I should get a barometer for the garden.
