I've been growing AGs for several years with good success for here in SC(500 - 700lbs) I have never pushed the limits via fertilization since there are no contests locally to participate in. I have just grown them as an attraction for my regular pumpkin sales. Here's my question: During what stage or approx. weight is the best(safest) time to go for it with fertilizer? My experience would tell me approximately the 100lb mark. What is everyone elses experience? At 21 days, I'm currently at this weight with the fruit gaining 15lbs per day. Thanx

If I had an inkling of info, I would be glad to share. I know nothing, but am following "rules of thumb". I hear you should add much potash at 100#s+. I used oak wood ash around my vines and it seemed to work ok. "Grow em Big" Snake. We Sotheners have to win something!!! LOL
