Hey gang. I have a really nice fruit at 53" for 20 days going at 11 feet out. Friday I gained 5 inches in circ. Then we had a spell of cloudy cool weather Sat. and Sun and it slowed to 2" circ. Today it is back up to 80's and humid and it still isn't jumping. I have another fruit going on a secondary main of the same plant that is 30" circ. The vine is out 15 feet beyond the fruit. There are no other fruit on the primary and secondary vines. All but 3 secondaries are deadheaded. The main vines are intact. What do I need to do to kick this thing in again? I thought about deadheading main or even culling fruit on secondary main but I don't have enough experience to know. I juiced it yesterday with fert. 100 gals of water a day for 2 plants, 1000 sq. ft. Please, anybody, what is best way to get it going again.

I also have a second fruit in patch, 45" circ @ 19 days. It also has slowed to 2" per day in last 2 days. It too has fruit on secondary main and another on primary about football size. Vine is also 15 ft beyond fruit. Do I cull second fruit on main vine beyond primary fruit, deadhead main vine or cull fruit on secondary main or some combination. I know my fruit are sub-par to those who know but I'm just learning and come here asking for all the advice I can get. Your help is greatly appreciated.

If it was sunny today for the 1st time in a few days, you should see that growth Tuesday or Wednesday.Wait until at least Wednesday to see if it bounces back. Then either deadhead your remaining secondaries, or start culling fruit off ( 1 fruit every other day). Don't do everything at once. If it was me & it didn't bounce back by Wednesday I would deadhead the 3 secondaries that night, wait until Saturday morning to see the results. Then start culling off unwanted fruit as needed every other day. I hope this helps get them going again.......Paul
