Last it took 1260 lber that took place in your neck of the woods . but if you have a 700-1000 lbs you should place in the top 20. best of luck mark

If you have one on at all you can be competitive. I think 200lbs now and you could have a winner. What weigh off are you going to?

If I need 200 lbs. now I doubt if I will be in any ! But maybe I would visit. What is a good one for Connecticut? I have been to a lot of good fairs in Ct. they all seem very early , I am looking for October.

If you are competing at state fairs they are usualy held in the summer so your pumpkin won't be as big. But they are a lot of fun.

Don't count yourself out. If you have one that is around 10 days old now and is growing well you could still have a chance - especially if August and Septmeber have good growing weather.
