Subject: lopsided and changing shapes

In watching the growth of one of my fruit, the Ciliberto 1061, it appears that it is taking on a bit of a lopsided look. In addition the blossom is hanging very low being only a couple of inches off of the ground. The pumpkin seems fine and is growing at the normal rates. If I take a tape and run it from one side of the stem to the blossom and then do the same on the other side there currently is about a three inch difference. In your opinion will the other side fill in to make a match or will it continue to be bigger on one side. My cox 1048 change shapes a lot last year but I believe it always seemed to be even on both sides???

Ned, it may be always lopsided, it could be due to incomplete/uneven pollination of the lobes. I have a 1062 Rivard growing higher on 1 side than the other but my blossom had weird lobes, see the pic in my photo gallery:
