i just came back from vacation in Canada and found the first 2-3 leaves of my plants collapsed, and yellow/wilted. i found a hole in one of the leaf stems, and opened the stem and traced the brown gunk to the end, yet found no SVB, the others have no holes that i can find. SO should i slit the vines open to check it out, or just spray tonnes of mathalzion and hope for the best. (a thunderstorm may have contributed to the collapsed leaves, but the yellow......ahhhh! help!

Hey div, Are you sure it not just aging leaves that are dropping off. See if you can follow one back to the main and pull it off. if it's solid there probably no problem. if the mush goes into the vine then you have to worry. I hope some of the big guys help on this one though! captan and make sure there is plenty of ventilation going under the leaves. hope this helps!

i think i got lucky, found 2 borers, yet they were heading UP the leaf stalk into the leaf, so cut the leaves off and hoping for the best
