So I am wondering, what do you do with your big beauty once the weighing is all done? Do you eat it? I mean, how many pies can a person snork down before they are permanently damaged? On the other hand, you have loved and cared for this child for many months, you can't just put it in the heap to rot, can you? And how about those of you who grow several big ones? Can you make booze out of them? How about pumpkin jerky? Do tell! PVZ

I know you could get 12 hundred pies out of the world recored(pound per pie)I'm going to leave mine be for as long as I can(so I can show it off)but I dont want the seeds to go bad or start growing so I'll try to keep it cool!!I also what to sculpt one of mine!!and plenty of pics will be taken!!..

No one I know eats these biggins. The meat is too watery, stringy and not to sweet. Although, I do believe I've seen it posted here sometime that someone somewhere does eat them. Hungry?

Only problem is --- if you use all the chemicals fertilizers etc etc that seem to be required to push/protect a big one I don't think I'd let it be consumed by anyone or animals. Just my opinion.

Some of the stuff I use on my plant is not cleared for vegetables so I wouldn't eat the pumpkin or the seeds. If I remember correctly Isotox is one of those not cleared and Diazanon may be another one. If you wanted to eat one I would grow it somewhere other than your competitive pumpkin patch.

Weigh them to compete for the biggest. Try to make the best genetic crosses in an effort to produce genetically larger fruit for the following year. Bragging rights.
