On my two plants, the leaves from the beginning of the plant to about four feet out look burnt around the outer edges. Is this normal? What is this?

Either fertilizer burn, or the dying a natural death! The older leaves will turn brown and die, just remove them to keep plants disease and insect free. Perfectly natural!
