I'm the greatest pumkin grower ever!I've beaten the dreaded borer with a three pronged attack.Firstly, nothing new about adding roses food with SYSTEMIC INCECTICIDE to the manure tea.Second wave has consisted with a twice weekly watering that syphons diazinon/malathion mix out of a bucket and thirdly and most excitingly, injections directly into vines known to have borers inside. No more slicing vines.I've had one borer and he got his shot. He's dead.I'm happy.Wife is worried.I injected the malathion/diazinon mix.Good stuff.

Alexdad...back before I saw the light and got Warrior-T I would inject borer sites with a needle (from a diabetic friend and a vet-tech friend) using methoxychlor at the regular 1TBS/gal rate....and it worked....especially if you squewered the little B*&^%tard with the needle....just inject the vines in numerous spots a foot before or after the borer site, every inch or so give it a squirt......G

I used a needle that is used in when working with acrylics and plexiglass. We use it to apply weld4 plexi adhesive.Anyway I mixed it according to directions and sqirted it into the frass hole (Did I just say that?).I also shot it into the vine a foot ro so up and a foot back from the frass-hole.The vine never wilted.
