Garden State Pumpkins
|
Got back late last nite....Had to go out there with a flashlite. Sophie hasn't grown at all and will be culled today. The one fertilized in the morning I left looks exactly the same so I suspect nothing from it also. Must have had a growth spurt. There was a female open today but water was on everything. My next door neighbor watered the garden this morning at 5:30 am Not knowing we were home! Hey I told him to take over the garden I had'nt had that kind of growth rate in weeks. Anyway got a lot of pruning to do. These things amaze me when they grow like that. I had given it a kelp treatment and 0-0-60 the day I left so that might explain it!..will wait the ten days before I remove the pumpkin but it looks just like sophie no shine no notable growth at day 4. got a few more cooking for this week and by wednesday it looks like cool air moving in. Thanks for the encouragement...I might be on the new grower forum until I'm seventy...Gotta be a new grower till you get a pumpkin! YIKES!
