One of my pumpkins is now the size of a basketball. I put up a tarp covering last night for shade and plywood underneath for protection against rot. My question is, when I water the plant in the morning, should I be getting the pumpkin and part of the vine under the tarp wet or should I keep the area as dry as possible. Any input would be appreciated.
