Has anyone grown a large pumpkin on a vine that had a split in it? My 805 pukos, secondary main has a 2 inch long split in it , but looks like it is starting to heal over. Is this the end for growing a big pumpkin on it?

I have two slits on either side of a main vine, less than three inches past a pumpkin. Vine is flat in that area and while it looks scary, the plant and pumkin are doing well, and I have more prospects further downstream on the main.
