as a rule of thumb do small blossom end cracks along the edge of pumpkins under sevin days old mean doom or can they be succesfully healed..john

Yeah Lobsta, Remember when you thought you just planted the seeds and added water!!! You were warned! and the bigger it gets the longer the nightmares of what might happen! Right PappY! I luv it. Hey You'll need a big guys help on that one. If Wes can get his to grow full term then I say anything is possible, Gonna have to change my handle to Big Vine NO PUMPKINS! Lol

Lobsta.. I have cracks that ooze fluid on all my pumkins and what I was told is that this is a natural occurrence. I just dusted them with captan and they have healed fine. Chuck-- you are a riot man!!!!

Chuck,,me got the cracks to,,but was told its natural..Mine has cantaloped pretty good from these tiny cracks,,I assume it is from growing quicker than the skin wants it too...

Got me a roto tiller though. Wife finally felt tired for these old bones. South forty gonna get it as soon as they pull the stumps...Thats 40 feet!!LoL
