I have a single main vine plant, I have just pollinated the last of three pumpkins on the main vine. Will leaving three pumpkins in a row on the main vine hurt my growth of the third pumpkin or any others even though some are older and bigger? I just want to have time to evaluate growth and get the best one. Thanks, Jim

Leave them all until they are basketball size. Some may abort and you want to have insurance. At that time, pick your favorite and cull the others.

i had 3 pollinated in a row last year. i ended up going with the 3rd one (farthest out on the main) a good week or so after it was pollinated. by that time it was only lemon sized because the other fruits closer to the stump were gettin' the juice......anyway, that fruit eventually became my 814. just watch and wait. sometimes the best looking ones turn out to not look so good after a few days, and sometimes the one's you leas suspect turn out to be your best. good luck
