Are long gourds normal store bought gourds planted in great dirt on big trellis's or is there a special seed? I'm looking for something else to get in the ground before it's too late.

btw, I was told on the newsletter by a couple of people that pandpseed.com was not reputable. Didn't complete orders, seeds not in stock as advertised etc. Have you had any problems?

I ordered seeds from them after weighoffs (end of Oct - beginning of Nov) and I think I ended up getting them sometime in January. I didn't really mind waiting because I wasn't gonna plant them in December but they never told me it would take that long. They finally let me know it would take awhile after I emailed saying I would call my credit card company and dispute the charges. Up until then they ignored my email.

When you are growing them up a tree, do you let sec grow or go with one main vine until you reach point where you lose control & can't prune any more. ?????? Bill
