One of my plants has just stopped growing. It has been well watered and fertilized, and the leaves look normal. There are very few bugs just a few cuke and squash bugs (less than 10 of each) The stump feels firm as does the main vine. The tips look like that of a root bound plant but there is plenty of loose soil around.. observations and suggestions wanted

I have noticed that when I switch or stop fertilizer sometimes shocked plants. slowing or stoping growth.

Just a long shot, scrape away some soil around the plant an check for grubs ? not suffering any problems here yet, but found a particularly healthy looking grub while scraping soil up to bury vines...how many of his buddies are lurking ?

The plant kept looking worse so I ripped it up other than the first two secondaries. I did find some grubs in the soil but only a few(I looked a lot) and they looked dullb white and pasty. I think its from the Milky Spore I put down last year.
The only thing I can think it might have been was White Flies and heat shock. Although I only found a few of the flies.
