My patch receives full sun from 9;00 a.m till 6:30 p.m.Is this good enough?. What is considered adequate sun?

As much as you can give it! In Edmonton, we are getting over 17 hours of sun a day at this time of year. It's not a shade plant. I would say minimum of 8 hours/day. The amount and intensity of light also has a bearing on it's ability to set fruit.
