my 700+ squash plants main vine is over 20 foot long and the fruit that Im trying to set is at about 17 feet or so but if these dont set the next females will be out 19 or 20 feet. Will this be to far out.....???the main vine is vary agressive and it dosent seem two slowing. At 17 feet the leafs are 30" across(in there longest derection)Is it wise to grow a vine untill about 27 feet or so,with the fruit at 19 or 22 feet in an xmas tree pattern.I now alot of people only grow them till 20'.so should I cross my fingers for the flowers at 17'or what.....???

i think you would be fine at even 25 feet out...you have plenty of time to set a fruit (latest to pollinate a fruit in WI would be around july 15th), and with that much plant behind it, who knows what might happen (but maybe the fruit will not grow as well as the plant did), you just never know....but 17 feet would be the best choice in my mind, hope that female is at a nice position for you also. Sounds like a nice plant you have there...what do you plant on crossing the female with?? i would self it personally, sounds like a nice plant. 19-22 feet out is a long ways, but you should be fine, it would be interesting nontheless to see what you can get out of a plant and fruit that is over 20 feet out on the main.
